This position reports to the Process Engineering Manager, Downstream in support of the Process Equipment team for the Galaxy project, a greenfield construction project in Holly Springs, NC.  The initial assignment is to assume the Responsible Engineer role for Media and Buffer Prep unit operations.  As the site moves into commercial operations circa 2025, this position is planned to continue as a Process Engineering role supporting commercial operations, technology transfers, and small capital projects related to the same unit operations.  Additional details regarding job responsibilities are below. 

The Process Engineer 3 provides engineering guidance to support capital projects, technology transfer, and manufacturing operations. This will ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and engineering requirements. This role will adhere to product and customer requirements, and work towards optimizing plant efficiency and profitability.    The initial assignment is to assume the Responsible Engineer role for CIP systems.  Additionally, this role will support the Responsible Engineer responsible for washers, autoclaves, and other small equipment. As the site moves into commercial operations circa 2025, this position is planned to continue as a Process Engineering role supporting washers, autoclaves, and CIP systems.

Financial planning and strategy with process Improvement, problem solving, delivery of company revenue to contract terms and understanding of program profitability.

The Process Science department provides engineering and scientific leadership to support both clinical and commercial processes in the area of protein purification operations. The Process Science team act as leads in process transfers, are Subject Matter Experts for manufacturing processes, responsible for scale up/scale down of processes as well as other projects. Cross functional collaboration throughout the entire organization is an important part of our everyday work. The department continuously strives to identify opportunities to improve systems and practices and provides direction to the manufacturing organization. The Engineer 3 /Scientist 3 will provide technology transfer support and technical oversight during manufacturing operations.
