  • Overview

    The Packaging Administrative Specialist provides central responsibility to ensure continuity of supply for consumable personal protective supplies, operating supplies and long lead time/high value raw materials and consumables. They are responsible for originating production batches in compliance with production structure and scheduling requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain Min/Max inventories of consumable raw materials for Formulated products. Generate replacement stock orders as needed utilizing SAP.
    • Maintain Min/Max inventories of PPE, Generate replacement stock orders as needed utilizing SAP.
    • Distribute PPE site wide to all lab/production groups and provide monthly allocation totals to accounting for accurate back charge by cost center.
    • Generate production batches, as scheduled by planning, utilizing manufacturing software systems including MII, LIMS and SAP to include generating product container labeling.
    • Assist with data entry into LIMS for select raw materials.
    • Maintain product profiles for packaging requirements for Formulated Products by ensuring software system tables have the most recent revisions for labeling and packaging specifications.
    • Work with site regulatory specialist and organizational counterparts at other FFEM facilities on implementation of new labeling requirements and staying current to GHS label requirements.
    • Maintain adequate stocks of label consumables including spare parts, ribbons, and miscellaneous label stocks.
    • Maintain labeling equipment in operating condition. Work with manager and vendors to obtain service or replacement in a timely manner.
    • Work with purchasing and vendors to identify supply chain issues relating to Formulated Products and resolve in a timely
    • Coordinate with purchasing and Human Resources to administer employee uniform program. Implement 5S in all areas of responsibility. Conduct monthly housekeeping and safety inspections.
    • Assist with operational, quality, and safety reviews, as assigned.
    • Obtain fork truck certification to assist in inventory counts and production as needed.
    • Perform other duties, as assigned including some production level certifications as determined by production requirements.

    REQUIREMENTS 

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Minimum 2 years administrative experience
    • Able to prioritize in a dynamic environment
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Good computer skills a must including SAP, MS OFFICE Excel and Word
    • LIMS experience a plus
    • Access/SQL experience a plus
    • Forklift experience a plus.
