  • Overview

    We are hiring for a Manager, Corporate Communications for our Valhalla, NY location.  The Manager, Corporate Communications plans, develops, directs and executes public relations programs in support of the company’s healthcare business divisions/companies.  This position initiates and executes the strategic management of various public relations activities, with a heavy emphasis on media relations, while also leveraging company resources to further business objectives and maximize both internal and external communication opportunities.

    Responsibilities:

     

    1. Create and implement strategic and comprehensive communications plans, while also working with other internal resources for implementation of overall branding campaign, including:

    • Manage external communications activities for the company.
    • Directing through leadership the following: media relations programs, including the development of communications for B2B healthcare product launches, issues management and key industry trends; support industry trade shows and product introductions
    • Provide public relations counsel to executives, including strategic direction and preparation for interviews.
    • Work collaboratively with marketing and communications peers across multiple business units in North America, to develop/coordinate effective communications programs.
    • Evaluate results, and implement any changes for the highest value outcomes.

    2. Lead and implement content development for strategic social media initiatives and content development. 

    • Development of written, visual and video content for website and social media channels.
    • Build the strategic plan, gain approvals and implement content development.
    • Evaluate results, and implement any changes for the highest value outcomes.

    Development:

    • Attend industry conferences and associations to stay abreast of trends in public relations and marketing/communications, and enhance existing or implement new plans based on updated knowledge.
    • Maintain a high degree of understanding and competency for all products and services offered by Fujifilm.
    • Read trade journals and professional literature to stay informed on trends, innovations, and changes that affect public relations and marketing/communications, and incorporate into plans, as appropriate.

    Accountability/ Scope of Position:

    • In addition to public relations support for individual companies and products, this position initiates and executes the strategic management of various public relations activities, with a heavy emphasis on media relations, but it also leverages company resources to further overall company business objectives to maximize both internal and external communication opportunities.

    Required Education/ Experience:

    • BA or BS in Communications, English, Journalism, or Public Relations or equivalent work experience preferred.  Advanced degree in Communications or MBA a plus
    • 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Communications or PR agency.

    Travel:

    • This position includes occasional travel both in the U.S. and internationally to trade shows, media tours, and events as needed.
