Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager, Strategy & Execution leads high-impact, cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives that advance the site’s operational and business strategy. This role sets the standard for project management excellence and cross-functional collaboration, translating strategy into executable roadmaps, establishing governance and delivery discipline, and ensuring benefits realization. The position partners closely with Site Leadership and functional leaders (Operations, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, HR) to prioritize, plan, and deliver initiatives on time, within scope and budget, while building project management capability and a culture of accountability across the site.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

 

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, site-critical projects and multi-workstream programs, from charter and planning through execution, change management, hypercare, and benefits realization. 
  • Establish and run robust project/program governance, including steering committees, cadence, stage gates, decision rights, risk escalation, and timely issue resolution. 
  • Drive annual and rolling portfolio planning and prioritization for the site; partner with functional leaders on resource/capacity planning and sequencing to optimize throughput and value. 
  • Develop business cases, define success metrics and KPIs, and track value realization across cost, service, quality, safety, and compliance, providing transparent reporting to Site Leadership. 
  • Build and maintain integrated project plans, RAID logs, and dependency maps; proactively manage risks, interdependencies, and constraints across functions and vendors. 
  • Champion strong cross-functional collaboration; facilitate workshops, alignment sessions, and effective stakeholder communications tailored to diverse audiences. 
  • Apply structured change management to ensure adoption and sustainment; identify change impacts, readiness, training, and communications needs. 
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean/Six Sigma to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance delivery predictability. 
  • Manage project/program budgets and forecasts; ensure financial discipline and compliance with site and corporate policies. 
  • Create and maintain executive dashboards and portfolio reporting using standard tools such as MS Project/Smartsheet and Power BI/Tableau. 
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and compliance requirements while working within production or GMP-adjacent areas, as applicable. 
  • Coordinate vendors and third parties as needed, including SOWs, deliverables, and performance. 
  • Manage and develop direct reports from the Project Management/Analyst/Coordinator team. 
  • Administer company policies such as time off, shift work, and inclement weather that directly impact employees. 
  • Complete required administrative tasks, including timecard approvals, time off approvals, expense reports, and related activities. 
  • Coach and guide direct reports to foster professional development. 
  • Participate in the recruitment process and retention strategies to attract and retain talent, as needed. 
  • Address performance gaps, employee questions and concerns, and partner with HR as needed for resolution. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience; OR 
  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience; OR 
  • Associate’s degree with 9+ years of experience; OR 
  • High school diploma with 11+ years of experience. 
  • 2–5 years of people management experience. 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field. 
  • 10+ years of progressive project/program management experience, with 5+ years in site/manufacturing, operations, or life sciences environment. 
  • Demonstrated success delivering multi-million-dollar, multi-workstream programs and establishing or maturing PMO/portfolio practices. 
  • Experience with continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives at a site level.
