Overview

We are seeking a visionary Sustainability Manager to lead our organization’s environmental and social governance (ESG) initiatives. In this role, you will be the primary architect of our sustainability strategy, identifying risks and opportunities to minimize our environmental footprint while driving long-term business value. You will work cross-functionally to embed eco-friendly practices into our core operations, from supply chain and manufacturing to corporate office management.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive sustainability roadmap aligned with global standards and company objectives.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure the organization meets all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Manage annual reporting for frameworks such as GRISASBCDP, and TCFD.
  • Operational Audits: Conduct regular energy, waste, and water audits to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving green technologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for sustainability inquiries from investors, customers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Supply Chain Oversight: Collaborate with procurement teams to source sustainable materials and ensure vendors adhere to ethical labor and environmental standards.
  • Internal Education: Lead training programs to foster a "culture of sustainability" among employees and departments.
  • Customer Support- Support customers with Product Carbon Footprint (PCFs) calculations and development of methodologies. Work with supply chain for material specific emission factors.
  • Sales Support- Support sales with sustainability assets for new customer engagement.

 

Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate sustainability, environmental management, or ESG consulting.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing large-scale sustainability projects from conception to completion
  • Deep knowledge of GHG Protocol for carbon accounting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) and life cycle assessments (LCA).
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets to track KPIs and predict future environmental impact trends.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change without direct authority.

Desired Skills

  • Certifications: Candidates with credentials such as LEED AP, ISSP-CSP, or Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

 

Salary and Benefits: 

  • $100,000 - $$105,000 depending on experience
