Position Overview

The Medical Informatics (MI) Demo Coordinator Specialist is the logistical focal point of accountability for all Synapse enterprise imaging workstation demo distribution, returns, network access and remote access for the pre-stage engineers.

 

The person must be adept at working in a highly dynamic multi-vendor environment and stay up-to date on healthcare and general IT trends, best practices, and a wide range of hardware and software products. This position requires interaction with MI Senior Project Engineers, sales, technical support, field service, the end user, and outside vendors.

 

This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction for our direct sales representatives, clinical sales specialists and MI team members’ needs.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work closely with MI Senior Project Engineers (PEs) team to deliver high quality Synapse product demonstration solutions.
  • Act as lead technical resource for MI Senior Project Engineers.
  • Highly skilled in coordination of multiple workstation shipping and return delivery.
  • Work with contracted shipping companies to package and ship enterprise demonstration equipment based on deadlines for receiving hardware at a customer site and the timing to stage.
  • Accept the workstation returns, unpack, set up on the network and provide remote access for the PEs.
  • Knowledge and use of Salesforce to receive shipping requests for enterprise demos.
  • Support tradeshow packing and unpacking (3-5 years).
  • Available for large onsite customer demo support of shipping, receiving, setting up and returning the hardware (multiple times per year, as needed).
  • Specify and deploy third party hardware and software infrastructure with the PEs.
  • High level storage and vSphere knowledge and awareness.
  • Support the deployment Synapse enterprise workstations and solutions: Radiology PACS, Cardiology PACS, Synapse EIS, Synapse 3D, Synapse Mobility, Synapse VNA.
  • General architecture changes and/or redeployment.
  • Understand integrations Synapse enterprise solutions with all third-party healthcare IT systems.
  • Adhere to rigorous internal project communication guidelines using tools provided.
  • Documentation development and updating.
  • Learn new Synapse enterprise and third-party products as they are released, often with limited training.
  • Participate in Subject Matter Expert (SME) internal educational and training programs.
  • Adheres to the Company's quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception, and ensures that all job duties inherent in the position description are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a physically organized and accurate inventory.
  • Follows all safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications

 

Experience requirements

  • 3+ years’ Healthcare IT experience required.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com a strong plus.
  • Experience working with networks, servers, storage, and workstations.
  • Warehouse experience a strong plus.

Educational

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or Associate’s degree with significant on the-job Healthcare IT experience in a hospital, cardiology, radiology, or other clinical setting, warehousing or IT support position.

Special skills or other 

  • Exceptionally strong skillset in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Self-directed with high energy and motivation. Ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team/group environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work under deadlines.
  • Creative and consultative communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Presentation skills are a plus.
  • Ability to influence others without position reporting structure to achieve results and deliver on committed timelines and objectives.

Physical requirements

 

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities:

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds up frequently.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks.

Travel

  • Occasional (up to 25%) travel may be required based on business needs.
  • This position is 100% onsite at the Twinsburg, OH office location.
