Position Overview

We are hiring a Technical Sales Specialist- Single Use Technology. The Technical Sales Specialist- Single Use Technology will work with customers and sales teams to position Fujifilm’s Single Use Technology capabilities within the Biopharma/Biotech sector, maximizing the sales of single use hardware, automation, and consumables for the Fujifilm business within Europe.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Execute sales strategy for Single Use Technologies product line 
  • Develop business plans/rolling forecast for assigned product line and territory 
  • Achieve a revenue sales target within the assigned region 
  • Prospect and generate leads, prioritizing customers according to market accessibility 
  • Serve as primary contact for customers on Single Use Technology solutions 
  • Provide strategic support regarding SUT: competitive intelligence; win/loss analysis; strategic analysis; sales technique coaching; drive new product introduction or other important messaging activities, generally in close collaboration with Tech Support/MSAT, Product Management, Field Applications and other TSS colleagues. 
  • Drive mindshare into the market for our single-use brand and value proposition. 
  • Coordinate SUT approach between global sites of key accounts, generally in close collaboration with Global Strategic Account Management and Area Sales Management. 
  • Own the area’s SUT financial objectives. 
  • Deliver high caliber commercial and technical presentations to customers 
  • Facilitate internal resources allocation to satisfy customer needs: Coordinate Commercial Sales activities with FAS to plan and implement product demonstration demonstrations,  
  • Provide necessary data and feedback to Sales, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and R&D as appropriate 
  • To ensure customer satisfaction, act as the Customer Champion in to FLBI .  Coordinating appropriate resources to resolve any technical or commercial issues are resolved in an effective and timely manner  
  • Provide necessary voice of customer (VOC) to market and product management of our products and services. 
  • Produce accurate work reports, identifying achievements, challenges and troubleshooting ideas and solutions 
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills/Education:

  • Minimum, a bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in the Life Science field 
  • 5+ years minimum experience in a customer-facing, technical sales role managing single use equipment in bioprocessing 
  • Working knowledge of process development technologies in upstream and downstream 
  • Working knowledge of the entire SUT product portfolio, including hardware & automation and flexible single use bioprocess containers 
  • Knowledge of cell culture media development in biopharma, cell & gene therapy and vaccine manufacturing 
  • Knowledge of cGMP & regulatory standards for biopharma manufacturing 
  • Experience of FAT and SAT processes, Installation Qualification and post-sales customer support on equipment URS 
  • Knowledge of bench-top scale, pilot scale and large-scale cell culture production processes 
  • Knowledge of Bioprocess Liquid management processes 
  • Excellent knowledge of complex and lengthy sales cycle and management of highly-technical opportunities   
  • Highly developed negotiation skills and value selling techniques 
  • Outstanding customer service mentality  
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills (can I ask for languages? Fluent in English 2ndEuropean language an advantage )  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of upstream and downstream processes and equipment in the Bioproduction workflow 
  • Knowledge of GAMP/GMP within a Biopharma setting 
  • Strong track record of selling high-value production systems within the Life Science industry. 
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and software and hardware troubleshooting 
  • Works in a structured, results-oriented manner, willing to contribute with ideas and a hands-on approach 
  • Works well independently and within an interdepartmental team  
  • Willing to travel extensively to customer sites 
  • Full Professional command of English

Salary and Benefits:

  • The base salary range for this position is $93,400- $132,200 USD. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
