The Role

 

This role will support the successful operation of the facility by maintaining and monitoring all process and building equipment. Must have proven experience in industrial piping/mechanical, HVAC, and chill water systems, showing a strong mechanical aptitude. This position works with moderate independence and requires strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills in mechanical and electrical equipment failures to maintain operational reliability.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, agitators, compressors, piping systems, and process equipment.
  • Assist with basic instrumentation troubleshooting such as sensors, switches, and control devices.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation in the CMMS system.
  • Participate in reliability and continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance.

REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical school, trade certification, or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or manufacturing environments.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to diagnose problems using preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Familiar with various types of piping systems, plumbing, ductwork, regulators, gauges, and pneumatic/electrical-operated valves.
  • Basic fabrication skills using power tools, grinders, drill press, milling machine, and band saw.
  • Knowledge of pumps and troubleshooting methods, disassembly, rebuilding, repair and installation.
  • Familiarity with industrial maintenance practices and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
