The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining quality standards with Fujifilm endoscopy equipment in order to meet company objectives and maintain the Company’s high quality and regulatory standards. Efficiency, accuracy and excellent communication skills are essential to success in this position.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform QC Inspection of repaired endoscopes and related equipment in a timely manner to meet customer needs.
  • Follow current SOPs and use current Inspection Forms for all product models.
  • Train new employees in the area on QC Inspection processes as required.
  • Perform tasks and other duties as assigned by the Manager, Technical Quality Engineering.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

 

Experience:

  • Experience working with endoscopes and related equipment preferred.
  • Highly focused, detail and results-oriented; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment, self-starter who can motivate others.
  • Work with a sense of urgency, understand his/her expectations, and always maintain focus on the changing priorities of the division.
  • The ability to continuously assess the effectiveness of functional processes and lead progressive improvement initiatives is required. Strong collaboration skills will be required.

Educational Requirements:

  • Electronic and/or Mechanical Cert or degree desired but will consider experience or demonstrated skill in electronics/mechanical repairs in place of degree.

Special Skills or Other Job Requirements:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and G-Mail knowledge required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret essential job-related documents.
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and professionally.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, ability to use a keyboard, reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear.
  • The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

  • Occasional (up to 10%) travel may be required based on business need.
