Position Overview

As the Service Technician you will perform moderate level mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, diagrams, sketches etc. You will perform service activities to include configuration, evaluation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of ultrasound equipment and accessories. As a Service Technician you will also work cross-functionally with engineering teams to provide support for failure analysis initiatives and maintain excellent working relationships with our customer service representatives.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic/mechanical devices
  • Performs break-fix preventative maintenance by observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem, dismantling devices to gain access for the removal and repair or replacement of defective parts.
  • Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Performs evaluations of alternatives to improve cost and / or reliability of equipment.
  • Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
  • Perform rework and repair with strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Install and configure component software
  • Perform final functional testing to ensure product quality and reliability meet the highest standards
  • Perform inventory transactions and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Assembly creation and repair
  • Create Non-Conformance Reports and follow Return to Vendor processes
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system
  • Cross train in operational processes to sustain departmental objectives
  • Ensures a safe, clean and organized work environment and complies with 5S and housekeeping practices (5S)
  • Equipment Calibration responsibilities

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Preferred Associate Degree in a technical field of study
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience within a repair environment; preferably in the repair and preventative maintenance of electrical or electro/mechanical devices
  • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
  • Proficient, solid understanding of fault isolation techniques for digital and analog circuitry
  • Oracle or similar business system experience and skill are desired
  • Good communication skills and familiarity MS Office suites

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations
  • Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment
  • Strong PC skills required

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting wage of $28.00/hr. + $0.50 raise after 6 months of service

    • 4% automatic Company contribution
    • Fujifilm matches 50 cents for every dollar you contribute, up to 6% of your salary
  • Paid Time Off:

    • Four (4) additional paid days off, based on date of hire in the calendar year
  • Paid Holidays:
