Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Marketing, the Project Manager for Consumer Products is skilled in coordinating a high volume of diverse inbound communications across multiple teams and stakeholders. The role requires setting clear delivery timelines, prioritizing tasks, and driving projects forward to ensure all milestones and deadlines are consistently met. The Project Manager must be adept at organizing complex workflows and maintaining momentum in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

 

The successful candidate will be adept at stakeholder engagement, fostering collaboration across departments, and driving projects to successful completion while maintaining clarity and consistency in all messaging efforts.  This position calls for a highly organized and proactive Project Manager.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage effective communication strategies for communications and projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Own, coordinate and streamline inbound and outbound communication channels to ensure clarity, timeliness, and accuracy.
  • Serve as the central communication hub for project-related updates, status reports, action items, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with product managers, department leaders, and cross-functional teams to schedule and prioritize communication efforts.
  • Set, monitor, and enforce delivery timelines, ensuring communication milestones align with overall project schedules.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, briefings, and updates to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Identify communication gaps or bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve workflow and information flow.
  • Prepare and distribute project documentation, reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
  • Support change management initiatives by clearly communicating process changes and new information to the relevant audience.
  • Use project management and communication tools to track, document, and manage communication activities and progress.
  • Measure and evaluate communication effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed. 

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple communication streams simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira, Trello) and communication platforms (e.g., Slack, MS Teams, email).
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to set clear priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address communication challenges proactively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills to mediate differing viewpoints and maintain alignment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing project requirements and dynamic environments.
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 suite of tools (Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills, able to quickly develop internal relationships

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Project Management or equivalent work experience, or a related field is typically required
  • 5-7 years experience in a similar role
  • Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or Agile certifications are a plus.
  • Ongoing professional development in communication strategies, project management methodologies, and relevant technology tools is advantageous.
