Position Overview

Opportunity for Industrial Engineering Internship at Fujifilm Dimatix, Inc. in Lebanon, NH.   The intern will provide hands-on support on new and ongoing Continuous Improvement projects/tasks; Provide support on creation and analysis for Lean Manufacturing initiatives; Support on developing labor standards and performance measurement and reporting.

Job Description

Job Functions:

The Industrial Engineering intern will provide support in the following areas:

  • Manufacturing labor efficiency standards research & documenting including, but not limited to:
    • Workflow analysis
    • Assessing & documenting manufacturing process steps.
    • Analyzing time standards for efficiency and applicability to product families
    • Assessing standards integration into labor & equipment capacity models.
  • Support on production planning activities.
    • Help to map and document customer requirements for production planning tools within the discrete areas of manufacturing.

  • Microsoft’s Word and Excel entry level skills.

  • Familiar with basic Statistics, Lean Manufacturing concepts, and enrolled in an engineering program

OTHER:

  • Other duties as may be assigned.
  • Each employee’s primary objective is to assure that safety, quality, delivery and cost controls within his/her control meet or exceed all of our internal and external customers’ requirements.
  • Each employee is required to abide by the Employee Handbook and the rules and regulations explained and provided at each orientation and training session. Special attention must be given to the safety aspects of these documents.
  • May potentially handle hazardous waste in accordance with the safe work practices defined in Hazardous Communication and Hazardous Waste training programs. Initial training is required upon hiring status and every 3 years thereafter. Employees handling hazardous waste will ensure that waste containers in their work areas are properly labeled and dated. Employees will ensure that waste containers are closed after transferring waste to them. Report any incidents involving hazardous waste to supervisor.
