Position Overview

This position is intended to define product requirements for multiple Enterprise Imaging Products to meet market and customer needs, manage the product lifecycles & new release launches with a cross-functional team, and proactively communicate plans/activities throughout the organization. The scope of this position spans the Synapse Enterprise Imaging family of products which includes
Synapse VNA, Connext Mobile, Connext Web and Synapse Mobility.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product Management – Effectively manage technically complex product lines to achieve defined business objectives. Write product requirements for upcoming releases of the product. Work closely with engineering during the planning and development of software
    releases. Manage the near term and long-term product roadmap.
  • Product Suite Integration – Ensure product interoperability, integration, and standardized technologies, as applicable, across the Synapse product lines. This will entail cross-product collaboration with the various Synapse product and development groups to
    ensure consistent integration, standardized technical and serviceability, and documentation resources are available.
  • Product Launch – Responsible for managing global product launches of new software releases. Specific responsibilities include coordinating a cross-functional team to develop and deliver handoff materials, assisting in the development of marketing materials.
  • Support Product Escalations - Ensure escalated product issues and product enhancement requests are being appropriately tracked followed up on and or escalated to business leadership and support / development. Ensure feedback on the escalation or enhancement is available to the reporting parties for communication to the customer.
  • Gathering Market Insight/Intel – Embrace continuous feedback and product input from our sales force, both direct and our channel partners. Work with customers and potential customers to gather feedback on how to improve and extend our offerings and solve
    customer problems. Perform competitive intelligence to ensure our products keep pace and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Sales Support – Review and update RFP responses. Perform product presentations and demonstrations with customers at various levels up to the C-suite as needed. Provide product specialist support to sales as needed. Deliver sales training on new product
    releases and offerings. Manage sales parts to ensure quotes can be accurately generated by the sales team.
  • Trade Show – Collaborate with marketing managers on trade show plans and messaging and work with a cross-functional team to ensure product configuration and readiness.Attend trade shows as booth staff to engage with customers and prospects and provideproduct overviews and demonstrations during shows.
  • Marketing Communications – Collaborate with product marketing on promotional plans, marketing collateral and other product-based communications that differentiates our products in the market. Author blogs on industry topics
  • Other
    • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
    • Comply with and pass all requirements for vendor credentialing as part of gaining access to hospitals and facilities to perform assigned job duties

Qualifications: 

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years professional industry experience within the Medical Imaging market
  • Previous software product management experience preferred
  • Previous VNA and/or PACS experience preferred
  • Functional knowledge of DICOM and IHE preferred

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree

Physical requirements:


The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities:

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

Travel:

  • Ability to travel to customer and prospect sites, sales meetings, FUJIFILM offices, as well as trade shows (up to 33%).
