Position Overview

The Assistant Project Manager position will assist with the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and project close-out of Fujifilm projects. This includes supporting the development of project scope, budget estimates, and project schedules for new and remodel construction projects within our Facilities department or for a FUJIFILM affiliated company. This role will assist with every aspect of the process including assisting in obtaining proposals, hiring and supervising consultants, general contractors, vendors, specialty contractors, internal departments and developers to ensure cost effective solutions and adherence to corporate standards.  Supports project managers, facility managers, distribution managers with completing tasks that further project progress.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of conceptual layouts for distribution operations and/or office environments ranging from new or existing buildings and equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation of equipment and building specifications, request for proposals, analysis bids, issue purchase requisitions, coordinate installation, audit invoicing, budget tracking and final close out of project cost. Develop reports and project summaries.
  • Assist in the management of projects from design requirements to implementation.  Including defining scope and objectives, managing overall schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate multi-business unit requirements, external vendors, contractors, consultants and architects.
  • Prepare space plans for office areas, warehouse, storage layouts and production systems utilizing AUTOCAD.  Maintain and update facility files.
  • Evaluate new technologies or processes to enhance productivity within various operations and companies.
  • Create and issue Forklift Maintenance RFP for warehouse equipment maintenance contracts as needed and to support Regional Facilities.
  • Assist in defining security systems, issue RFP’s to support project work, analyze bids, issue purchase orders and manage installation of security systems and monitor and update database.. 
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating building square footage allocations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating forklift database. Assist warehouse team with procurement of forklift equipment as part of the capital budget process.
  • Assist in capital and expense projects ranging from $10K to $1M.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $90,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
