Position Overview

The Account Manager position is responsible for managing and cultivating assigned territory to achieve both sales and profitability budget while increasing Fujifilm’s market share for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) products and services. These objectives should be attained through diligent individual efforts and working closely with established customers, potential new customers, Fujifilm Distributor network and other NDT account managers.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Initiate the sale of all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Products, services and solutions within the assigned territory, by means of, and not limited to regularly scheduled visits and continued communication with established customers, potential new customers and the distributor network to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales & profitability targets.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and provide the necessary support to service both the customer and distributor network within his / her territory regarding all pertinent account matters.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies in order to insure market share growth and success.
  • Coordinate team resources to secure business and solve problems as necessary taking the lead throughout the bidding, proposal and negotiation process in developing new business opportunities.
  • Establishing long-term relationships both horizontally and vertically within the customer, distributor and industry network.
  • Increase sales demand by making effective use of marketing and sales programs through established and new distribution channels with the demonstration of NDT products and the training of existing customers on a regular basis.
  • Initiate the access of, or use of, our technical staff for exposure information, problem solving and product testing at current and potential customers.
  • Communicate with Manager and provide statistical and technical information for both Fujifilm brand and competitive products on a regular basis to include and not limited to market trends and research, competitive activity, product performance, pricing discounts and strategies.
  • Be familiar with all competitive products and be able to offer a general and technical comparison during sales presentation.
  • Able to perform and complete items in accordance with a scheduled timetable to include and not limited to sales tracking, maintaining current and target account list, contract negotiations and agreements, forecasting, weekly & monthly reporting, performance evaluation and expense reports.
  • Performs special projects, tasks and studies as may be requested by management.
  • Be willing to attend and represent Fujifilm upon request at trade shows, sales / training seminars and industry meetings.
  • Representative should strive to create, develop and maintain good rapport with management, co-workers and distributor network exhibiting teamwork and being available to assist out of territory whenever necessary.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in related technical field or accredited NDT certification or equivalent NDT work experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years’ sales and customer management experience.
  • Experience in a customer focused technology development and technical service organization. Able to effectively monitor, evaluate and resolve customer concerns and issues.
  • Able to effectively change focus and behavior as business needs change; adapt quickly to shifting priorities and multiple demands; remain calm under pressure.
  • Work well independently and able to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Requires initiative and accountability.
  • Level 3 X-ray Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspection certification preferred.

Physical requirements

 

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities.

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

Travel

  • Greater than 50% individual and team travel required.
