Position Overview

The Sr. Strategic Planner 1 role will be responsible for driving the Sales & Operations Planning at FLBN, Holly Springs site. This role will integrate commercial sales forecast with production planning, inventory strategy, and capacity for both Drug Substance and Drug Product/Finished Goods. This role will be a key liaison for strategic planning at the Holly Springs site between clients, production, and Site Leadership. This role will drive the Sales and Operational planning, balancing demands from our customers and production capacity. This role drives consistent communication and execution of the strategic planning, to include both short-term and long-term horizons, while working closely with internal stakeholders to optimize the production plan.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

 

• Develops, leads, and maintains the Supply Chain Sales & Operations Planning schedule for Holly Springs, owning the monthly meetings with both customers and Fujifilm management
• Collaborates with commercial, customers, and senior management to create, adjust, and communicate production schedule
• Leads cross functional meetings to ensure alignment between customer demand and operational capabilities, to optimize the production schedule
• Utilizes data to evaluate schedule scenarios for opportunities in the short-and-long term production plans
• Initiates, facilitates, and drives recommendations for Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Finished Goods schedule for operational efficiency and forecast adjustments
• Create, maintain, and use key performance indicators for campaign readiness and performance for customer programs which will be tracked, trended, and presented to senior management
• Understands operational capacity and resource availability to drive recommendations with both production and Supply Planning
• Manages changes, deviations, and bottlenecks to the forecast and production plan and propose solutions to meet customer/commercial demands
• Drives data analytics and understand inventory levels of product for storage capacity
• Partners with Supply Planning and Finance for inventory control strategies, safety stock levels while minimizing excess material inventory
• Assesses industry best practices to drive process improvements for any system advancements or strategic initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

 

Basic Requirements

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or related field, with 8 years of applicable industry experience OR
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or related field, with 6 years of applicable industry experience
• 5 years combined experience in production, finite scheduling or production planning, MRP/Materials Requisition Planning, and/or S&OP

• Experience in scheduling / planning in Production and/or Supply Chain which includes short-term or long-term schedule horizons
• Basic SAP ERP S4/Hana or other SAP ERP experience

 

Preferred Requirements

 

• Experience in Master Scheduling and/or Sales & Operational Planning
• Experience in Advanced SAP ERP S4/Hana or other SAP ERP
• Experience in inventory and capacity management best practices
• Project management experience, showcasing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Supply Chain APICS training and/or certification in one or more courses (Association for Supply Chain Management): CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, CTSC
• Project Management Certification (PMP)

 

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, etc
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to conduct activities using repetitive motions that include wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to 33 pounds
