Position Overview

The Sr. IT Engineer 1 is responsible for the support and operation of all IT platform infrastructure for the new Holly Springs greenfield site. The engineer will also liaise with Global IT teams to ensure a fit-for-purpose network architecture scaled for a large manufacturing plant. This role functions as a local extension of the Global IT team reporting into the Sr. Director - IT. This role ensures local implementation and support in alignment with global IT processes.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Leverages architecture and detailed design from similar FUJIFILM project in Denmark, including aligning on virtual platform infrastructure and network design implementation
  • Supports the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT platform infrastructure systems at the facility
  • Provides technical support for systems, network infrastructure, and other IT related assets
  • Works on platform infrastructure to deliver business and technology solutions from data, security, mobility, and cloud
  • Assists with vendor coordination as it relates to the platform
  • Interfaces with the IT/OT and I&C teams for coordination and integration of the platform
  • Manages hardware/software change controls in a regulated environment
  • Performs Incident management and daily support of the platform infrastructure
  • Performs role and responsibilities to develop and evolve as the group expands
  • Participates in on call support rotation, once required to support CQV and operational activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, ER/ES and data integrity guidelines
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and fluency in English

Basic Requirement

  • High School Diploma /GED with 9 years of experience in computer information systems (CIS), Applied Science, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Applied Science, or related field with 5 years’ experience in applicable industry. OR
  • Master’s degree in in computer science, Applied Science, or related field with 3 years’ experience in applicable industry.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
  • Experience and understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as LogPoint, OPManager, etc.
  • Experience and basic knowledge of process control systems in a regulated manufacturing facility

Preferred Requirements/Certifications  

  • Experience working in CGMP facility
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc
  • Technical certifications such as VMWare, MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, etc.
