Position Overview

Manager, Operational Excellence would be responsible for identifying, leading, managing, and delivering process improvement projects at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Texas. The candidate will bring experience, preferably in a manufacturing company, and with experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, quality management, and leadership in a regulated environment. The role involves leading initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, productivity, safety, and delivery across the organization. It requires driving a culture of continuous improvement, identifying/managing complex projects, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

 · Lead OPEX projects from conception to execution with a focus on lean methodologies and process optimization.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions.

· Maintain a project portfolio database and site governance process to facilitate process improvement project portfolio management and prioritization.

· Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of improvement projects.

· Ensure effective execution of feedback loop to sustain benefits, tracking and improving KPIs. Engaging in the tier process, ensuring effective escalation and feedback making problems visible and solving them.

· Establish and monitor OPEX KPIs and metrics, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

· Drive governance through forums such as Steering Committee, Communities of Practice to foster a culture of CI, Change Mgmt.

· Analyze data to identify trends, key insights, and opportunities for operational enhancements.

· Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, achievements, and areas requiring attention utilizing dashboard(s).

· Facilitate alignment to identify, analyze and drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

· Partner with stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of new processes and technologies.

· Experience prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching.

· Minimal travel required for this role; travel between manufacturing buildings in College Station required to perform project duties.

· Attendance is mandatory.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Master’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience; OR

· Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

· Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification

· Experience in a cGMP facility or working with FDA regulations

· Experience working for a CDMO

· Experience working in a biologics or gene therapy manufacturing facility
