The Tech 1, Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and operational reliability of the instrumentation and controls that support facility-wide equipment, and facility systems through effective Corrective and Preventive (CAPA) Maintenance and Calibration practices and know-how.

What You'll Do
• Performs general instrumentation and controls troubleshooting, repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance to all site equipment, systems, process measurement and control, utility, laboratory, and bench-top instrumentation
• Performs calibrations to instrumentation and controls
• Follows standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality standards
• Performs loop checks for new instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Assists and performs lock out tag out (LOTO) as required to complete I&C/Metrology activities
• Adheres to all safety requirements and follows safe work practices
• Notifies management or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found
• Attends all required and safety and health training
• Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed
• Performs spare parts assessments, as required
• Other duties, as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems
• Effective communication, both written and oral
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to work shifts and on-call, as needed
Required Skills
• High School Diploma/GED
• 2 years of I&C experience or similar field
• Experience with tools and equipment used in maintenance work
Preferred Skills
• Associates degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of I&C experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment
• Experience with troubleshooting instrumentation and controls
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), such as ProCalV5, Blue Mountain, Maximo, Infor EAM, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Office or other computer software
