Position Description

We are hiring a Product Manager BSPT. The Product Manager BSPT will manage assigned product line(s) in alignment with overall strategic business plan objectives and ensuring that product offerings fulfill customer and market needs. They will ensure operational and capabilities alignment for assigned products and manage product lifecycle post product launch.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product line strategy aligned with Fujifilm Bioscineces (FLBI) and Fujifilm Wako (FFWK) business objectives including revenue growth, margin expansion, market share growth. market expansion and new product development.    
  • Collect market intel, capture voice of customer for short and long-term business requirements  
  • Collaborate with corporate planning on the product line revenue forecast in dollars for reporting to FFWK headquarters and FLBI commercial reviews.  
  • Drive short-term initiatives and activities to achieve revenue and margin (gross profit) targets (quarterly and annually) for the applicable products.   
  • Formulate and ensure execution of product pricing strategy including applicable published price lists, special customer pricing, sales discount authority, distributor pricing, and repeat quotations.  
  • Coordinate and support product planning activities to ensure product availability, continuity of supply and optimization of inventory levels  
  • Ensure that product information is readily available for the product pages on our website, uploaded to SAP, and shared with strategic marketing for inclusion in master files for distribution partners. 
  • Review product complaints and monitor any product related issues and report any trends or issues to FFWK.  
  • Act as product line champion with internal/external teams and customers. Manage multiple stakeholders to drive initiatives and address issues that arise.  
  • Manage product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. Continually align products with market needs and strategic fit.  
  • Monitor financial results and guide fiscal planning for future positioning, growth and evolution of the portfolio 
  • Lead new product development by working with FFWK on the strategic roadmap. Ensure products are designed to meet market needs through customer research, target customer identification, value proposition creation, product requirements definition, and support for marketing launch. 
  • Coordinate with FFWK to identify and implement product modifications/improvements based on market feedback, exhibit agility in identifying market shift, technical performance, and cost savings opportunities.      
  • Work with strategic marketing to define go-to-market strategy, product launches, product positioning, key benefit descriptions, customer profiles, and account targeting. Provide content for promotional marketing materials, sales tools, marketing collateral, business cases etc.  
  • Work with FAS and strategic marketing to plan and carry out product training for customers, distributors sales teams, new staff, and any others needed.  
  • Act as product expert by giving technical presentations and networking at relevant industry meetings, conferences, working groups, etc.  Support sales teams in customer meetings and discussions, especially related to winning new opportunities or supporting existing revenue.   
  • Ensure product line visibility by cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders, key opinion leaders and customer decision makers through relevant meeting participation, trade show attendance, membership in appropriate organizations, and advisory board panels.  
  • Support operational improvements activities by collaborating with customer services, supply chain, manufacturing and finance

 

Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, biology, life sciences, or other related technical field.
  • Advanced degree / graduate studies in business, related life science, or bio-engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing, sales, or relevant scientific position.  
  • Industry experience within the life science, biotechnology or pharmaceutical field 
  • Must have proven ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional teams, including R&D, Sales, Marketing and Marketing Communications, Program Management, and Operations 
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Familiarity with SAP and CRM a plus.  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and formal presentation abilities 
  • Strong organizational, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Sales and marketing principals and a technical background.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $88,452 - $115,293. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
