Position Overview

The Engineer/Scientist 1 is an entry level role that will gain the knowledge and expertise to provide technology transfer support and technical oversight during manufacturing operations.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

 

• Performs the hands-on portion of lab studies
• Supports management on lab equipment
• Collaborates with colleagues to develop lab scale protocols
• Performs and oversees sampling plans for lab runs
• Serves as on-call for lab issues and concerns
• Supports technology transfer (TT) by conducting lab and pilot plant experiments
• Conducts sampling protocols and sampling plans for lab runs
• Supports role in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment
• Supports TT activities within unit operation
• Supports execution of GMP runs
• Provides technical support for root cause analysis (RCA) and process assessments in response to process deviations, as needed
• Assists with close out of deviations, as required
• Supports TT by Implementing sampling plans for process performance qualification (PPQ) and investigations
• Supports generation of master batch records (MBRs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs), as needed
• Supports technical risk assessments for new manufacturing processes
• Supports collection and interpretation of manufacturing data and process monitoring
• Provides on-floor manufacturing support throughout production campaign
• Other duties, as assigned

Basic Requirements

 

• Associate degree in Engineering, Life Science or Chemical Engineering with 2+  years  of related work experience (e.g., manufacturing); or
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Science or Chemical Engineering with 0-1 years of related work experience (e.g., manufacturing)
