Position Overview

As a Strategic Sourcing Buyer, you will be responsible for leading and managing strategic sourcing activities for indirect spend categories throughout the contract life cycle. Collaborates closely with internal stakeholders across the Fujifilm Group Companies, including cross-functional teams and senior management, to align sourcing initiatives with business requirements. Develop and sustain supplier relationships through regular contact and operational reviews with key suppliers and partners. Responsible for the timely and cost-effective acquisition of assigned goods and/or services valued at $100,000 and greater, in accordance with corporate policies/procedures, best practices and federal acquisition regulations. 

 

This position is remote, but needs to be within a commutable distance to Greenwood, SC area.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, opportunities, and potential risks/barriers that may impact sourcing decisions
  • Management of stakeholder team creation, requirements gathering, RFx creation, supplier bid evaluation, building business cases for supplier selection, bid award communications, awarding bid selection(s) to align with stakeholder feedback/requirements
  • Lead contract management, including drafting, negotiating, redlining and finalizing agreements with suppliers to ensure compliance and optimal terms
  • Develop and facilitate implementation planning for supplier onboarding and offboarding
  • Oversee supplier relationships including supplier performance management, leading cost reduction activities, alignment with company goals and resolving commercial issues
  • Close interaction with stakeholders to align priorities support the business with relevant advice or action
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, optimize efficiency, and promote innovation within the sourcing function
  • Collaborate daily with interdepartmental colleagues
  • Actively sets, leads and drives project teams and timelines for all assigned sourcing initiatives   
  • Leads other procurement improvement initiatives, such as implementing new software or applications across multiple group companies
  • Serve as the main point of contact for issues and concerns from internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Regulate the adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring that business practices are in alignment with corporate and legal requirements
  • Utilize SAP, Excel and Ariba to create and monitor KPIs for the procurement department to measure effectiveness

 

Required Skills/Education:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to identify cross company synergies for collaboration efforts
  • Expert negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving cost savings and value creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic supplier relationships, drive supplier performance, and manage supplier contracts effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools and technologies, such as SAP, Ariba, supplier management systems, and data analytics software.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to lead projects effectively to ensure requirements are met .
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and manage +30 projects annually.
