Position Overview

The HR Coordinator completes HR administrative tasks in the FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies North Carolina Region. This visible role liaises with members of People and Culture (PnC), HR Business Partners and other departments within and outside of the North Carolina Region. The HR Coordinator understands the HR Information System platform, HR policies and processes. This position juggles many tasks, competing deadlines and is highly administrative in nature.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Under the direct supervision of Director, HR provide general HR administration support by:
  • Accurately inputs employees changes and terminations, in ADP and updates appropriate Human Resources trackers.
  • Notifies and partners with Payroll to maintain accuracy of employee information in ADP
  • Notifies relevant stakeholders of employee changes for updates in systems access, etc.
  • Creates Payroll Action Forms to route to relevant stakeholders for signatures
  • Serves as backup to other HR team members in regard to onboarding activities and facilitating New Hire Orientations
  • Distributes routine reports to various departments and updates dashboards
  • Completes verifications of employment and adds documentation to employee files
  • Ensures accurate compliance and ongoing maintenance of employee files. Audits employee files periodically for compliance.
  • Updates Organizational chart
  • Monitors HR email inbox and responds to routine employee and manager questions concerning payroll and benefits. Routes more complex questions to appropriate HR department member.
  • Provides general administrative support to Human Resources Department
  • Works closely in a team environment with the ability to partner with diverse teams and across multiple FDB locations
  • Ensures the employee experience represents our “People First” motto
  • Partner with People and Culture team or other committees in assisting and executing activities, events and initiatives
  • Assists HR Business Partners with the administration of Internship program, as needed
  • Assists with other HR programs, or projects, as assigned
  • Recommends and takes initiative in making process improvements to ensure HR processes are effective and efficient
  • Other duties, as assigned

Basic Requirements

  • High School or GED and 4‐6 years of previous experience working in a fast‐paced customer‐focused Human Resources department in an administrative or equivalent role OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 0‐2 years of previous experience working in a fast‐paced customer‐focused Human Resources department in an administrative or equivalent role.
  • At least 1 year of basic computer skills in Microsoft Office products required
  • Self‐starter with outstanding attention to detail and consistent delivery of high quality of work

  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines

 Preferred Requirements 

  • 4‐year degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or other related area
  • 1 year of previous experience working in a fast‐paced customer focused
  • Human Resources department in an administrative or equivalent role.
  • Previous experience in a cGMP environment, strongly preferred
  • Previous experience utilizing Applicant Tracking System, HR
  • Information System, and DocuSign
  • 2+ years of mid‐level Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • aPHR
