Position Overview

We are hiring for a Production Coordinator to work within the Imaging Division (ID) that provides support for consumer and commercial photographic products and services. The position is responsible for assisting Supervisors and Managers in scheduling, coordinating, and executing work plans and activities of associates engaged in the manufacturing of Personalized Photo products. The position is an hourly, non-exempt role that requires flexibility in scheduling. This means you must be available to work on any day of the week and during any shift, with a rotating schedule that will vary based on the needs of the business. The ideal candidate should be reliable, able to adapt to changes easily, and excel in a fast-paced work environment. The job title Production Coordinator will report to the Production Supervisor II in Greenwood, SC.

The Industrial Products Division delivers new products derived from Fujifilm technologies including data storage tape products, including OEM and FUJIFILM Ultrium LTO cartridges, desalination solutions, microfilters and gas separation membranes. The Non-Destructive Testing Division delivers radiography solutions to ensure high accuracy inspection of transportation infrastructure, and assets within aerospace, and oil and gas industries.

 

FNAC-ID Personalized Photo Products Group (PPPG) now makes more than 450 personalized items (such as coffee mugs, posters, framed prints, canvas wall décor and more). PPPG provides a turnkey, back-end service of producing these items for a variety of retail and online customers.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provides coverage in the absence of Team Lead(s). Communicates with Production Supervisors if/when issues arise. 
  • Provides leadership to and directs activities of Team Leads.
  • Assists Team Leads in resolving problems affecting quality and/or SLA.  
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to standards. Take immediate corrective action when any nonconformance is detected.
  • Coordinate associate training & applicable job certifications in support of quality & SLA standards.
  • Evaluates written data such as SOP's, production reports, and worker production rates, to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of labor, materials, and machines, to ensure smooth operations and workflow.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of Team Leads.
  • Maintains harmony among workers and assists supervisor in resolving grievances. Makes recommendations on performance evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Reacts quickly to errors or customer complaints. Actively participates in root cause analysis & COE reporting.
  • Assists Supervisor(s) in other duties that will enhance the learning of best leadership skills.
  • Communicates effectively, efficiently, and appropriately with all employees.
  • May provide employees with basic training as needed.
  • Encourages and champions an atmosphere of Continuous Improvement by fostering an environment with the teams working together to act with intentional inclusion and participation of all team members within Production departments.
  • Follows established Environmental/Health/Safety (EHS) guidelines as pertains to safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Completes all paperwork required according to procedures.
  • Cross training into other areas of production may be needed based on business needs.

Required Skills/Education

 

  • High School/GED and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel required. PowerPoint presentation skills helpful.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles including 5S, root cause, waste, and Gemba.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Proficient Computer skills in MS Office; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
