Position Overview

We are hiring for an Operations Director. This position reports to the Vice President & General Manager – Imaging Solutions Manufacturing & Service. The Director of QuickSnap Manufacturing is responsible for the Q plant manufacturing operation producing Fujifilm One Time Use Cameras. The position is in Greenwood, SC.

Job Description

Responsibilities

 

Leadership & Employee Relations

 

  • Communicates the vision and key strategies for the business and how it impacts all the roles inside the operation.
  • Develops and delegates measurable goals and objectives to be attained by the team.
  • Conducts supervisory human resource activities such as: interviewing, employee discipline, performance assessments, salary administration, career development, etc.
  • Tracks individual Associate performance and maintains personnel files including time, attendance, paid time off, warnings, etc. as required.  Responsible for Associate growth and development activities, ensures that all associates reach their highest potential.
  • Directly oversees contract labor for manufacturing. Responsible for setting the schedule and monitoring hours worked. 

Budget and Expense Management

  • Develops and drives performance against the annual expense budget for the factory. This includes determining the factory’s production capacity (volume) and the expenses required.
  • Responsible for reviewing the factory’s financial results monthly and adjusting operations as necessary to stay within budget.
  • Works with the team to identify and implement operational and efficiency improvements to lower costs or improve efficiency.
  • Develops a capital plan – annual and MTP - for equipment improvements. Oversees the capital projects to ensure progress and within budget.

Operations

 

  • Oversees the daily operations of the QuickSnap factory.
  • Ensures Safety is taken very seriously by all in the organization, and that actions are taken to eliminate the chances of accidents.
  • Ensures that Quality is taken very seriously by all in the organization, and that strong quality management processes are in place and followed closely.
  • Directly supervises the department managers over production, quality, materials management, and maintenance. Responsible for effectively leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing associates Responsible for setting the plant’s KPIs (key performance indicators) and reviewing them monthly.
  • Leads Supervisors and Managers to achieve Company, plant, and team goals and objectives that have significant impact on operations.
  • Approves adequate staffing and work schedules to assure best possible team service and coverage.
  • Provides leadership and technical knowledge regarding short- and long-term capital projects.
  • Works to increase production efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory control operations such as cycle counts, semi-annual inventory counts, inventory adjustments, and approve inventory discards.

Reporting

 

  • Responsible for creating a monthly operating report (MOR) that covers the factory’s performance in safety, quality, production KPIs, and financials. Also responsible for presenting to management team in Valhalla, NY.
  • Responsible for providing business updates to the entire factory and upper management when requested.

 

Compliance

 

  • Ensure plant is compliant with ISO9001/14001.
  • Responsible for Associates’ adherence to all State and Federal Regulations and Company Policies affecting their departments, including Fujifilm’s Employee Code of Conduct Policy and Safety policies. 
  • Ensure compliances with Fujifilm’s “Green” policy by monitoring and auditing factory’s waste streams and processes.
  • Ensure plant is meeting the FTZ “Foreign Trade Zone” requirements.
  • Ensures staff uses sound principals and methods to meet or exceed customer expectations within budgetary guidelines.

 Other Duties

 

  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly objectives as determined by the VP or President. Performs additional duties as assigned by international staff, VP, or President.

 

Required Skills/Education

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Business, Engineering, or related field to area of responsibility or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manager level position or demonstrates advanced knowledge of proprietary field.
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, set priorities, organize, and coordinate work with others.
  • Strong Analytical, teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience presenting to senior management.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

 

Desired Skills

 

  • Experience with MM/PP/FI Modules of SAP preferred.
  • Creates a trusting atmosphere by relating to people in an open, friendly, and accepting manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership to a large-scale group.
