The Logistics Coordinator provides end-to-end coordination and execution of all Operations activities associated with the arrangement, disposition, shipment, and delivery of materials in Warehouse custody to authorized clients. Responsibilities in this role include for storage, handling, and distribution of materials and products and working closely with multiple areas to support operations (e.g., Manufacturing, Quality, Process Sciences, and other customers) as needed. The Logistics Coordinator provides interdepartmental communication daily, and liaisons with couriers, clients, vendors and Broker. This role uses SAP ERP system for inventory management, cycle counting, and shipping activities while operating in a GMP facility with standard operating procedures (SOPs). This is position is onsite Monday through Friday with standard 8am-5pm work hours with ability to work beyond standard business hours as required to support business needs. This position may require weekend hours to support operations and is required to fulfill on-call responsibilities

Major Accountabilities
• Completes Warehouse Operations to including unloading/loading materials in both receiving and shipping dock areas and supporting sample shipments
• Supports production operations with materials and product movements for manufacturing areas (e.g., Drug Substance, Drug Product, Finished Goods and Weigh & Dispense, and Raw Material Sampling)
• Performs SAP ERP system transactions as it relates to outbound deliveries and relevant transactions
• Executes and documents warehouse activities using SOPs, work instructions, and other applicable documentation
• Facilitate, coordinates/expedites critical import-export activities with the assistance of the import/export specialist
• Supports inventory management by performing cycle counts, bin checks, and materials management
• Assists and supports with execution of qualification activities and/or validation protocols periodically for temperature-controlled units, and all controlled environments in the Warehouse area (e.g., ambient, cold, freezers, hazardous/flammable storage)
• Assists Supervisor with reviewing, authoring and updating SOPs and work instructions
• Trains associates on shipping operations
• Assists management with tier escalations, deviations, investigations support and continuous improvement projects related to shipments
• Records shipping activity and project milestones using established shipment tracking methods
• Acts as key point of contact for logistics service providers (customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers) regarding shipment arrangements and adherence to scheduled pick-up events
• Assists in the critical review and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures related to shipments
• Assists in the recording and tracking of KPI’s for logistics operations, assist Management in identifying key trends and opportunities for improvement
• Works with key vendors ensuring auditable tracking of actions and resolutions
• Performs Visual inspect finished goods, bulk intermediate, and bulk final drug substance
• Ensures proper labeling, handling, and chain of custody tracking of shipped materials
• Adheres to safety requirements, follows all safety procedures and supports department GEMBA and safety walks
• Maintains clean work environment and organization standards in work area
• Collaborates and works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Sciences and Finance
• Uses of a variety of powered industrial trucks (PIT), sometimes at heights of over 30 feet

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry with focus in biological/health sciences, business, supply chain, and/or logistics OR
• Associate’s Degree with 4 years of related experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry with focus in biological/health sciences, business, supply chain, and/or logistic OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry with focus in biological/health sciences, business, supply chain, and/or logistics OR
• Equivalent related Military experience
• Understanding of cGMP

• ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TrackWise, LIMS, etc.)

• HAZMAT/ Dangerous Goods Certification, or willingness to acquire
