Position Overview

The Senior Service Engineer provides technical remote and/or onsite support for the installation and after sales support for FUJIFILM Modality products as, Ultrasound (US) and Mammography Systems, DR and CR systems and Dicom Printers to distributors in Latin America. Responsible for developing training protocols aligned with product service manuals to maximize efficiency of the installation within maximum expected timelines for each. Normally receives minimal instruction in routine work, general instructions on new products or assignments. Determines methods and procedures on new products and provide guidance to other personnel. Responsible for training personnel on how to install equipment and best practices related to the installation process.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support distributors on installation of mammography systems (MG), ultrasound systems, DR and CR systems, components, and accessories to ensure conformance with appropriate market specifications.
  • Provide technical training to distributors’ engineers with technical training within the scope of an assigned product family, product or module which includes installation guidance for assign personnel.
  • Second layer technical support for equipment failures. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations and routine inspections on Company equipment.
  • Identifies issues and makes recommendations for corrections or process changes.
  • Completes all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Constant internal communication with other divisions and identify improvements for internal processes.
  • Maintains technical expertise on company product offerings and stays updated of current industry trends and future technology advancements through continuous education.
  • Assesses new techniques and current work practices to reduce service costs and increase installation efficiency.
  • Adheres to the Company’s quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception, and ensures that all job duties inherent in the position description are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Lead client site preparation (pre-installation) for Mammography Systems (MG).
  • Constant documents preparation for Latin America Distributors in Spanish such as installation guides, site survey evaluation, etc., for different FF Modalities.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Biomedical Engineering or other related field with a minimum of 5 years technical or professional experience or comparable education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation, maintenance and support of medical imaging devices mainly in Ultrasound systems, Mammography systems, Digital X Ray systems, DR Detectors, Computer Radiography systems, Dicom printers and other medical imaging equipment.
  • Creative, consultative, communicator with the ability to build relationships to support the evolving needs of customers, employees, and the business.
  • Teaching capabilities.
  • Experience with Case Management reporting and tracking tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of current network technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of current IT technologies and common business productivity software, e.g., MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS Power Point, MS Visio, etc.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to achieve results and meet goals in a fast-paced, rapidly changing team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be open to travel to assignment locations in different countries of Latin America and can live within the identified Zone.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours and holidays to meet business needs.
  • Ability to communicate with customers in Spanish.
  • Ability to communicate in English.

Travel

  • Frequent (up to 80%) travel required based on business need.
