Position Overview

Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Production Technician (Weigh & Dispense). The schedule for this role 7:00am-7:00pm, a 12-hour rotating day shift with possibility of working a 12-hour night shift.

Job Description

MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist senior staff in implementing project safety and quality assurance programs in accordance with SOPs
  • Operate general production equipment to include Autoclaves, Analytical Scales, and pH/conductivity meters
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of the weight and dispense area and manufacturing
  • Perform SAP transactions to include goods issue, receipt, and transfer
  • Ensure accurate issuance of materials to process orders and cost centers
  • Manage the end-to-end process of material transfers between locations, including the use of barcode systems or keyboard input and the confirmation of transfer orders, adhering to standard operating procedures
  • Perform cycle counting and reconciliation of inventory adjustments
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours, and be willing to work outside of normal, scheduled hours; as necessary
  • Must be able to utilize strong mathematical and computer skills to perform tasks
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of proprietary company information
  • Possess a basic understanding of Good manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
  • Possess a basic knowledge of the operation of assigned equipment
  • Understand safety and operational procedures
  • Ability to assist with operations, learn and ask questions
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and document them in a good documentation practice fashion
  • Ability to work closely and effectively in a team environment.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Must have good planning and time management skills and be willing and able to interface with colleagues in many different roles and functions throughout the manufacturing facilities

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 0-1 years of cGMP biotechnology production experience OR Equivalent Military training/experience

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements 

  • Biowork Certificate
  • Experience with SAP and Pas-X
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment with full clean room gowning and good aseptic technique

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
