    Job Summary:

     

    Our team is looking for a teammate who will support the Service and Technical Support departments.  The Asset Recovery Specialist coordinates the successful return of our company’s assets by working directly with our customers and vendors, including the scheduling of return pickups via a carrier or by one of our field sales representatives.  The specialist also administers our customer loaner/Return Materials Acquisition recovery databases.  The specialist will use the Oracle service module to conduct background research into circumstances of each case, and document the results of recovery efforts.  He/she is responsible for gathering all data and metrics on recovery efforts. The specialist will also manage, research and resolve all non-receivable items in a multi- department environment in an expedited manor.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

     

    • Coordinates the return of international and domestic assets and equipment directly with the customer and vendor.
    • Accepts inbound calls from customers and sources involved in the recovery of assets
    • Completes outbound calls to customers and vendors regarding equipment and asset returns.
    • Reviews Oracle, Discoverer and Salesforce database to research background for each case and to properly document latest status and recovery efforts
    • Monitors and manages the Shared email folder
    • Communication/coordination with finance/credit departments of all escalated customer unreturned material
    • Manage and resolve all non-receivable service items
    • Gathers performance metrics on the recovery program for continual evaluation
    • Provides accurate and prompt customer service and effectively maintains customer relations.
    • Negotiates successful asset recovery with challenging and elusive customers, and provides persistent follow up on challenging recoveries.
    • Coordinates with key departments and management to ensure timeliest return of equipment
    • Investigates unsuccessful returns and identifies new leads for successful recovery of company assets
    • Manages return orders within established guidelines and parameters
    • Maintains appropriate documentation pertaining to the recovery of company assets.
    • Demonstrates the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment using multiple programs while maintaining accuracy.
    • Assists in the development of policies and procedures for the recovery of company assets
    • Demonstrates the ability to be self-motivated and the desire to succeed
    • Intimate knowledge of International carriers database i.e. FedEx, UPS, USPS

     

    Knowledge and Experience:

     

    • High School diploma or GED.  AA or BA/BS is not required, but considered a plus
    • 2-4 years’ experience in customer service role.
    • Prior experience in collections and/or asset recovery strongly preferred.
    • Experience with Oracle database system.
    • Working knowledge of ISO/FDA requirements.
    • Excellent customer service, speaking and writing skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and Access.
    • Proficient with Oracle database system.
    • Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs with or without accommodation
    • Ability to work in a team or individual environment
    • Must be highly motivated with exceptional organization skills and the ability to prioritize and mange tasks independently.
