Position Overview

We are hiring a Sr. Product Mgr. Custom Media and Process Liquids. The Sr. Product Mgr. Custom Media and Process Liquids is responsible for managing the BP LVL&P product line portfolio within FISI LSBU. They will plan and execute product line strategy and tactics, coordinate relevant R&D, commercial, marketing, operational, and tactical initiatives to achieve product line performance goals, and act as product line champion internally and externally to FujiFilm.

Job Description

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute product line strategy aligned with business objectives including revenue growth, margin expansion, market share growth. market expansion, new product development.
  • Drive short term initiatives and activities to achieve revenue and margin (gross profit) targets (quarterly and annually) for the applicable products.
  • Analyzing sales and profit performance of assigned product areas, assesses effects of tactics and promotions. Provides reports to management. Based on such analyses, recommends enhancements to promotional efforts to achieve mid-range and long-term financial plans.
  • Formulate product pricing strategy bioproduction products (OTS and MTO), including published price list, special customer pricing, sales discount authority, and distributor pricing.
  • Act as product line champion with internal teams and customers. Manage multiple stakeholders to drive initiatives and resolve conflict within teams.
  • Manage product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. Continually align products with market needs and strategic fit at each stage (concept, development, launch, support, iterate, and end of life).
  • Drive new product development by coordinating with R&D on strategic road map and by acting as project champion for individual NPD efforts. Ensure products are designed to meet market needs through voice of customer research, determination of target customer, creating value proposition, defining product requirements, supporting marketing launch, and conducting sales/customer training.
  • Coordinate with R&D to identify and implement product modifications/improvements based on market feedback, technical performance, and cost savings opportunities.
  • Work with strategic marketing to define go-to-market strategy, product launches, product positioning, key benefit descriptions, customer profiles, and account targeting. Provide content for promotional marketing materials, sales tools, marketing collateral, business cases etc.
  • Work with FAS, R&D, and strategic marketing to plan and carry out product training for customers, distributors sales teams, new staff, and any others needed.
  • Act as product expert by giving technical presentations and networking at relevant industry meetings, conferences, working groups, etc. Support sales teams in customer meetings and discussions, especially related to winning new opportunities or supporting existing revenue.
  • Ensure BP LVL&P product line visibility by cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders, key opinion leaders and customer decision makers through relevant meeting participation, trade show attendance, membership in appropriate organizations, and advisory board panels.
  • Own the BP LVL&P product line revenue forecast in dollars and units for S&OP and commercial reviews.
  • Working with strategic marking and commercial, develop channel strategies for market outreach and expansion. Manage product content for distribution channels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Product Management.

 

  

Required Skills/Education 

  • BA/BS degree in biology, chemistry, or marketing. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of product management, marketing, and/or sales experience in life science, biotechnology, or other related industries.
  • Supervisory experience or other demonstration of leadership skills.
  • Product management, marketing, product development, manufacturing, process development, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate technical acumen relevant to the product line.
  • Sales and marketing principals.
  • Technical competency.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation technique

 

 Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $101,275 - $143,325. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
