The Operations Intern will work with the operations team to develop a process for capturing and reporting the site key performance indicators (KPI)/metrics. This internship aims to enhance the efficiency of our processes by establishing a reliable and comprehensive metrics-reporting system. The role is critical in aiding the team to make data-driven decisions that improve operational performance and strategic planning.

Operations Intern

Department:  Site Management

Principal Accountabilities/Job Duties:

• Conducts research and analysis to understand current processes and identify opportunities for capturing metrics. (30%)
• Develops and implements a standardized process for capturing relevant operational data. (30%)
• Collaborates with team members and stakeholders to ensure the reporting process aligns with organizational goals. (20%)
• Prepares detailed reports on findings and progress for operational team meetings. (10%)
• Assists in the testing and refinement of the metrics reporting system. (10%)

Minimum Education Requirements:

• The minimum educational requirement for this role is enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Data Analytics, Business, Operations Management or a related field.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• The role does not require prior professional experience but prefers candidates with coursework or projects related to operations management or data analytics.

Scope/Accountability:

• The scope of this role includes supporting the development of a comprehensive metrics reporting process, encompassing workflow analysis and documentation.

Impact/Influence/Liaison:

• The impact of this role includes supporting improved operational efficiency and enabling data-driven decisions through accurate and timely metrics reporting.

Decision Making, Discretion & Latitude:

• This role requires initiative in problem-solving and the ability to propose actionable enhancements to the metrics reporting process.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong understanding data analysis techniques.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with Smartsheet/Tableau preferred.

Compensation:

• $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience
