  • Overview

    POSITION SUMMARY: Design and code software for automation and monitoring of robotics, motion control and controlling electromechanical systems hardware in semiconductor 24x7 FAB manufacturing environment. Gather requirements and build highly automated software solutions using object oriented programming languages, including Microsoft .NET Framework 4.X, VB.NET, and SQL and programming tools, including serial and Ethernet communication, Visual Studio and SVN. Design user interface components. Store and retrieve process parameters in a SQL database. Object-oriented programming, and working with a relational database design. Stay abreast of emerging software trends and technologies and share that knowledge with other members of the software team. Plug-in interface technology integration.

     

    Knowledge: Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review).

     

    Job Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

     

    Supervision: Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

    Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).

     

    Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent experience.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Create software for inkjet printing equipment for internal applications and for customers.
    • Develop software infrastructures for a growing company.
    • Work closely with customers to develop Software specifications.
    • Troubleshoot software and systems problems.
    • Provide support for existing software.
    • Provides technical support to project team members.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    REQUIRED:

    • Minimum BS in Computer Science or related concentration:  Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering
    • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
    • Industrial test equipment experience.
    • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Thorough knowledge of design patterns and software development best-practices
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills. .
    • Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in order to effectively present information to peers, subordinates, customers and management.
    • Must have the ability to project a positive, professional and customer responsible image depending on environmental conditions.
    • Must possess the ability to make high risk decisions based on cost, quality, design or schedule.
    • Demonstrates clear and precise project planning that delivers to milestones using detailed design tasks, proper resource allocation, process flow diagrams and procurement interaction.

     

    DESIRED:

    • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
    • Related years’ of experience  include: designing, coding and monitoring automation software for motion control and controlling electromechanical systems hardware, including PLCs and Delta Tau motor control and an understanding of fluid control
