We are hiring a Scientist I. The Scientist I will conduct research under the direction of a supervisor leading to the development of new or improved products.

Responsibilities 

  • Performs cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvements.
  • Formulates and prepares reagents, including cell culture media.
  • Performs common chemical/biological assays.
  • Performs basic data analysis and generates summary data reports.
  • Supports planning and experimental design of projects
  • Contributes to the preparation of formal reports and presentations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and experimental problems.

  

Required Skills/Education 

  • B.S. candidates, a minimum of 2 years of relevant lab-related work experience
  • M.S. qualified candidates, 2 years or less of relevant lab-related work experience
  • Perform cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvements.
  • Works on problems of easy scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors
  • Good general knowledge of Cell Culture, Chemistry, and Biochemistry
  • Good working knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.)
  • Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software.
  • Ability to speak, write and read English fluently.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $61,594 - $79,954 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
