Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Be the owner of Product Quality and work closely with Materials Engineers, Customer Quality Engineers and Quality Systems Engineers to enable FUJIFILM Electronic Materials to supply Worry-Free products to our customers
  • Lead the team to update and maintain manufacturing documentations (SOP, work instruction, batch card, FMEA, Control Plan, RFC, P&ID) to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness. Review documents regularly to ensure their compliance with Safety, Quality and other regulatory requirements
  • Lead the Management of Change process for any manufacturing process and equipment changes in the plant
  • Lead the root cause investigation for any production, quality and customer issues related to manufacturing process or equipment. Support Materials Engineering team in root cause finding for issues related to raw materials
  • Develop Preventative Maintenance schedule for all existing process equipment and support Maintenance Team to timely execute the PM program
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities with data based approach, balancing the needs of safety, quality, cost, reliability, and capacity
  • Develop a robust SQC/SPC program balancing process capability and customer requirements. Update process parameter control limits at defined intervals and lead the trend reviews to ensure all processes are in control
  • Work with Control System Engineers, lab, and Materials Engineers to ensure data accuracy and availability. Drive a culture of data based decision making
  • Develop transfer functions between customer performance requirements and internal manufacturing key characteristics. Develop/implement control strategies to ensure consistent performance at customers’ locations
  • Work closely with operation associates, shift supervisors, and operation managers to train and inspire production staff to follow procedures and understand the impact of their actions
  • Optimize production process in terms of defining sampling points & frequency, choosing value-added in-process test protocols, and working closely with the control systems team to define all control schemes
  • Drive Best-Practice sharing/transfer among global manufacturing sites
  • Support all corporate EH&S and Quality initiatives
  • Support capital projects where necessary to implement new products or processes

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Chemical Engineering preferred. Other relevant engineering disciplines will acceptable (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial). MS or higher in relevant Engineering discipline is a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a chemical processing environment is required. In-Depth knowledge with chemical engineering unit operations: mixing, advanced filtration, material handling and distillation is highly desirable. Experience with PSM is a plus
  • Strong problem solving and statistical data analysis skills are required. Ability to multi-task and attention to details are must-have. Willing to get hands dirty and be flexible are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills within the company and to customers are required
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and statistical software such as JMP, Minitab or SAS. Working experience with AutoCAD or SAP is a plus
  • Proficient in English.

PAY RANGE: The pay range for this role is estimated at $85,000/yr. - $97,000/yr. with actual wage based on candidate’s qualifications and experience.
