POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating manufacturing operations to meet and exceed quality, cost and delivery commitments. Position is a “working” position, in which the individual will supervise the activities of others while assisting in the day-to-day operations.
This position will have supervisory responsibility over a shift of Manufacturing Technicians in a Wafer Fab responsible for the manufacture of MEMS-based products. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience supporting the development of manufacturing excellence across a multi-shift production operation.
SCOPE | Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies. |
COMPLEXITY | Works on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit. Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility. |
DISCRETION | Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules. |
INTERACTION | Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. Is able to perform these actions in a professional and acceptable manner while mentoring subordinates to communicate similarly. Is able to respect boundaries between shifts and creates an atmosphere of trust and cooperation between peers. |
SUPERVISION | Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit. Generally supervises semi-skilled employees (e.g., assemblers, operators, clerical). |
