We are hiring an Associate Scientist, Analytical Development. The Associate Scientist, Analytical Development will conduct research and development activities leading to the commercial launch of recombinant protein products used in cell therapy, gene therapy, bioproduction, biotechnology, and research applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support analytical method development.
  • Perform analytical testing to support process and product development.
  • Support and become independent with various biological assays.
  • Order, receive, and maintain adequate inventory of supplies for team experiments.
  • Support data acquisition and basic data analysis.
  • Contribute to the preparation of SOPs, data report summaries, formal reports and presentations.
  • Support in the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Support in troubleshooting experiments.
  • Present and discuss job activities to internal teams and groups. 

 

Required Skills/Education 

  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, or related science.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant working experience, or M.S in Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, or related science.
  • Prior analytical method development experience is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry and Microbiology.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, HPLC, Electrophoresis, etc.)
  • Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software.
  • Ability to speak, write and read English fluently.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
