    Job Summary:


    Perform PCB repairs of BGA and surface mount components. Perform rework / upgrades, and testing of assemblies. Documentation of work performed for new and field return assemblies.


    Essential Job Functions:


    • Remove and replace discreet surface-mount components.
    • Perform BGA (Ball Grid Array), replacement
    • Testing and assembling of equipment.
    • Performs maintenance of soldering and de-soldering of components.
    • Complete all document steps necessary to process all PCB requirements (new field returns)
    • Opening and closing NCR’s for new and returned product in accordance with current GMP and ISO 9002 requirements.
    • Control inventory of replacement components.
    • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the companies quality system.


    Knowledge and Experience:


    • 2 years minimum experience in a manufacturing and repair environment; preferably in the repair and preventative maintenance of electrical or electro/mechanical devices.
    • Good soldering skills (BGA, SMT, Through-Hole, micro-, lead and lead free).
    • Familiarity with test equipment.
    • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
    • Ability to read and understand rework instructions, and assembly instructions.
    • Must have good analytical and problem solving skills
    • Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment
    • Good PC skills required.
    • Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
    • Able to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.


    Skills and Abilities:


    • Soldering certification ( SMT, Through-Hole, micro-, and lead-free, BGA).
    • Testing and assembling of equipment.
    • Documentation of all required steps.
