    Job Summary:


    The Senior Software Engineer – DevOps – is responsible for developing, maintaining, and running the Continuous Integration (CI) environment for build, test and release automation for an Agile Cross Geography Embedded Software development team. Duties include design, development, and deployment of Continuous Integration system with automation for Software Builds, Software Testing at regular cadence, Release Builds and related documentation.


    The Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for building Android systems, and Windows systems, and can seamlessly switch between Linux and Windows systems. They will be part of an Agile scrum team. They will be team oriented, eager to learn, be able to work through changing priorities in a fast paced Medical Devices Software development environment. The Dev Ops Engineer may also be a Scrum Master for the Software team.


    Essential Job Functions:


    • Architect, Design, develop, and test Automation for Continuous Integration
    • Source Code Repository Management - Manage Git Source Code Repositories including creating, merging feature/dev branches, creating and maintaining Release Branches
    • Build Automation – Design Build Automation for Gerrit, Nightly, Weekly, Release, On-Demand
    • Test Automation – Install Builds, trigger testing, gather logs, create test reports
    • Release Automation – Trigger Release Builds, create and manage build configurations and assist in documentation of regulatory checklists including FDA, IEC 62304
    • Automation Monitoring – Monitor CI, find and resolve issues.
    • Take ownership of projects on the roadmap.
    • Suggest and explore new tools to improve systems management.
    • Architecting and documenting our systems as they grow.
    • Learn from other members of the team and mentor junior team members.


    Knowledge and Experience:


    • Accredited Engineering Degree - BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related degree.
    • 7+ years experience in custom embedded product development and continuous Integration.
    • 5+ year experience in scripting languages, preferably Python
    • 3+ Experience with Web development – JavaScript
    • 5+ years of experience with Git including repo creation, branching, merging. Nice to have experience with repo tool - https://source.android.com/setup/develop/repo
    • 3+ year experience with Linux
    • 3+ Experience with Build automation using Jenkins
    • Experience with Android and Windows Systems and Application Builds
    • Experience with Jira, Confluence
    • Nice to have Certified Scrum Master


    Skills and Abilities:


    • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplined and global team
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Familiarity with FDA, ISO, IEC 62304 and other regulated industry standards is desirable
    • Experience with Open Source code management system is a plus
    • Enjoys solving most challenging technical problems.
    • Drives Team work, patiently embraces new ideas and change
    • Know how to tell between perfect and good enough
    • Thought leader in the software development best practices, and testing
