Under the direction of the Accounting Controller, the General Accountant will perform month-end journal entries, account reconciliations and monthly reporting
Duties and responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements.
Prepare reporting for parent company – respond to questions.
Prepare monthly journal entries, and supporting schedules, according to monthly close schedule.
Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP, JSOX, and internal policies and procedures are followed.
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations, and work to resolve any discrepancies.
Assist with preparation of Annual budget and mid-year estimates.
Calculate commission payments.
Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
Prepare monthly accruals, including performing the search for unrecorded liabilities
Prepare/Calculate monthly revenue recognition including updating deferral and unearned schedules.
Prepare journal entries and maintain complex prepaid expense schedules.
Reconcile intercompany accounts.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts.
Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
Assist in the documentation of processes and evaluation, and establishment of internal controls.
Other duties/special projects as assigned.
Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations and standards.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting,
Must have budgeting experience.
Strong PC skills, MS Office.
SAP or Hyperion experience a plus.
3+ years’ experience as a GL Accountant.

The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.
Occasional (up to 25%) travel may be required based on business need.
