We are hiring a Customer Service Representative. The Customer Service Representative will take and process customer orders, respond to technical inquiries, follow up on sales leads, and provide competent and enthusiastic customer service.

External US

Responsibilities 

  • Enter purchase orders received by telephone, mail, fax, email and website, using an on-line order entry system.
  • Investigate and answer inquiries regarding the status of an order using an on-line computer order entry system.
  • Receive, register, and process customer order and shipment related complaints by writing up forms and using the computer to process returns, replacements, and/or requests for credit.
  • Set up and manage scheduled standing orders, on an on-line order entry system. This includes follow-up with Pricing Representative for quote renewal.
  • Ability with training to answer basic technical inquiries received by customers
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work well as a team, demonstrating a positive and professional demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all verbal and written correspondence with customers to address all their needs.
  • Ability to correspond in a timely manner to high volume of email correspondence from internal and external customers.
  • Verify and check inventory records to properly determine availability of requested product and provides order status updates for backorders.
  • Supports Customer Service new customer set up, customer action requests, order entry and phone coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed relevant to job function and skills.

 

 Required Skills/Education 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years or more of customer service experience in an order entry department with a proven ability to resolve problems, achieve results and provide excellent customer service.
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures and strong customer service skills
  • Working knowledge or basic calculator functions
  • Ability to present a positive and team oriented demeanor to all internal and external contacts.
  • A strong attention to details.
  • Ability to learn business requirements and use data systems to meet job requirements.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience using an on-line order entry system.
  • Ability to speak English clearly. Must be able to read and write in English using proper grammar.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $19.08 to $24.77 per hour. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
