Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Employee is responsible for developing statistically and technically sound analytical test methods for the use in the characterization of the company’s existing chemical portfolio, new chemistries in development and the processes by which both are generated.
- In addition to finished product, employee is responsible for characterizing raw material, intermediates and various aspects of supply chain using a combination of standard and non-standard test methods.
- Advancement of current metrology capabilities thru focused pursuit of identified technology and performance targets.
- Participation in establishing global alignment of quality processes and procedures.
- Employee is also responsible for participating in customer initiated projects which may include, but is not limited to, process/product excursions resulting in task force activities, quality system improvements (PCS specification revisions) and continuous improvement efforts and associated roadmap generation and adherence.
- Throughout the before mentioned activities and upon their completion, the employee will be responsible for communicating their activities, the data collected and their conclusions both verbally and in writing
- Employee will have specific roles & responsibilities for selecting & establishing Long Term Stability monitors (LTS).
- Other position related activities include direct support of QC Laboratory Personnel and Quality Systems in the form of advanced troubleshooting, mentorship and peer review including periodic review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
REQUIREMENTS
- The position requires a BA/BS in a Chemical related or other Physical Science discipline
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the semiconductor field or in a R&D/production laboratory environment is required.
- If candidate possess an MS or Ph.D., then experience requirement is decreased to 2 or 0 years, respectively.
- Candidate must be able to effectively manage their activities amidst an environment of changing and often competing priorities.
- The candidate must also exhibit good communication skills within different functional groups, and will be relied on to lead and direct the work of others.
- Instrumentation and analytical skills experience preferred - GC/GCMS, IC/ICMS, HPLC/UPLC/LCMS, GFAA, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, FTIR, UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, Electrochemical and wet chemistry techniques. Emphasis on ICP-MS.
- This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
