  • Overview


    Primary Support Role for the Manufacture of Precision Ink Jet Printheads.Develops and implements methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.Responsible for tooling and equipment required to achieve the most robust, cost effective manufacturing solution for new product integration or in support of continuous improvement efforts on existing products and processes.Responsible for the successful transition to Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering. 


    Knowledge - A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.

    Job Complexity - Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

    Supervision - Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

    Experience - Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.



    • Provide direct production line support and hands on problem solving.
    • Material Review Board support.
    • Project Management.
    • Implementation/Integration of Lean Initiatives to Drive Continuous Improvement.
    • Ergonomics / Safety Support.
    • Communication at All Levels.
    • Introduce New Manufacturing Technologies to Production.
    • Support Introduction of New Products into Manufacturing.

    • Bachelor’s in related field or equivalent years of experience and 5 or more years of related experience.
    • Experience with structured problem solving methodologies (Cp/CpK, Gage R&R, FMEA, DOE)
    • Experience with manual and automated assembly processes
    • Well versed in lean concepts with record of accomplishments
    • Knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5), 3D CAD Experience, Autocad or Solidworks
    • Ability to participate, lead and/or mentor in a team environment.
    • Working knowledge of safety and ergonomic practices
    • Familiar with industrial engineering concepts (Capacity Planning, Time Study, Simulation, Work Station Dynamics)
    • Familiar with financial concepts associated with operations
    • Experience in area of tool design Experience in clean room protocol.
    • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, in order to effectively present information to co-workers, customers and management.
    • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.



    Inkjet experience is preferred
