Overview

The Sr. EHS Specialist will report to the Director, EHS, within FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation EHS Services organization and be responsible for delivering EHS program oversite, development, training and implementation across the FUJIFILM SonoSite organization.   The position will be called on to support the global FUJIFILM SonoSite organization including a field service organization.

 

The Sr. EHS Specialist will reinforce Fujifilm’s leadership values by transforming the organization reinforcing traditional EHS manufacturing programs and developing EHS product compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs for the organization.  Ultimately this position will deliver improved EHS regulatory and product compliance, support to business sales and service operations and strengthening of CSR programs across the global organization.

This position is on-site located at our Bothell, WA location.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, implement and lead and enforce safety and environmental programs.
  • Discuss safety concerns, participate in investigation of at-risk conditions, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage the site safety committee and related programs.
  • Interface with regulators as needed for normal business and inspections.
  • Project management of environmental product compliance projects.
  • Assist FUJIFILM SonoSite to standardize and improve their EHS management system.
  • Provide EHS training or develop training as needed.
  • Develop EHS systems and tools for compliance.
  • Maintain information for and complete regulatory and organizational reports.
  • Coordinate programs with FUJIFILM Holdings and other sites, as assigned.
  • Function as part of the Fujifilm EHS community.
  • Develop and manage areas of the EHS management systems.
  • Calculate EHS, EHS product compliance, sustainability and GHG statistics and prepare reports for regulators, customers and FUJIFILM Holdings.
  • Lead PHA and Management of change meetings to ensure EHS issues are recognized and addressed.

 Required Skills/Education

  • BA/BS in Science or Engineering or equivalent education or training.
  • Minimum of 5 years EHS job related experience in a light industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated EHS program development and implementation.
  • Experience working crossfunctionally within organizations: ie Sales, HR, Manufacturing, IT, Quality, Warehousing , etc.
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in safety or environment or both. (Topics could include HazCom, LOTO, electrical safety, management of change, BBP, emergency response, contractor management, EHS design, environmental permits and compliance with wastewater/air permits, storm water, etc.)
  • Work with different stakeholders for projects and shared services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and leader others without direct reporting authority.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and employees.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • The ability to learn new programs quickly. 
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%.

Desired Skills

  • Ability to oversee, implement and improve EHS programs in a light industrial manufacturing organization.
  • SAP and Agilent experience a plus.
  • Strength in networking with unfamiliar parts of the organization to partner in developing programs.
  • Problem solving and continual improvement.
  • Analytical problem solving skills.
  • Experience collecting, structuring and organizing product compliance information.
  • Comfort in leveraging multiple software platforms to integrate solutions with existing business platforms.

  • Salary: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 depending on experience
