Job Title: Manager, MS Technical Support

 

Purpose

 

The Manager, MS Technical Support leads a team responsible for supporting Imaging Systems, with a specific focus on connectivity, DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine), and monitoring. The primary goal is to actively reduce system downtime by utilizing remote monitoring systems. Additionally, they oversee the design, testing, validation, and implementation of large-scale projects related to Fujifilm devices, with emphasis in product improvement and serviceability, particularly in the design of field service tools.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day administration function of remote monitoring, such as adding remote nodes to be monitored, managing alarms and other system optimization functions.
  • Collaborate with other internal and external groups on solving complex technical issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Provides exceptional customer support, addressing inquiries while resolving technical issues related to medical systems, networks, DICOM, and remote monitoring.
  • Oversees a technical staff, ensuring efficient operations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve products and service.
  • Improves modality reliability by providing support while maintaining connectivity of imaging products.
  • Oversee projects deigned to advance customer support.
  • Works closely with engineering and IT departments to ensure end-user satisfaction.
  • Effectively document problems and solutions.
  • Learn and remain compliant with all regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current remote support methodologies and related technologies by staying abreast with the latest industry/technology advances through continuous education.
  • Adheres to the Company’s quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception, and ensures that all job duties inherent in the position description are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations and standards.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Information Systems with a minimum of 4 years related professional experience or comparable work experience.
  • Working knowledge of current network and Windows Operating System technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) application.
  • Understanding of the following programming languages: Java, Groovy, Flash, XML and scripting languages: Windows Script Host (WSH), VBScript.
  • Ability to achieve results and meet goals in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • DICOM experience preferred
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to make independent decisions based on interpretation of technology data and product knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Physical requirements

 

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities:

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

Travel

  • Occasional (up to 25%) travel may be required based on business need.
