The Accountant role will report directly to the Financial Controller at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies. The job holder will be responsible with supporting the Accounting and Finance team with maintaining accounting processes and systems. They will primarily assist with the month end close process, accounts receivables and payables cycle and maintaining overall financial records for the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close procedures, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and performing monthly reconciliations of accounts.
  • Maintain general ledger by verifying, posting, and reconciling transactions, including reconciling inter-company accounts, and posting eliminating journal entries.
  • Assist with preparing monthly financial statements, including creating various reports in SAP and Tableau to support team with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Assist with annual internal/external audit and any other examinations, including preparing schedules and supporting data.
  • Provide support in the accounts receivables process, including customer invoice drafting, processing and collections assistance.
  • Collaborate with corporate accountant in the revenue recognition process, including applying basic accounting principles from ASC 606 and collecting documentation to support revenue.
  • Collaborate with fixed asset accountant to provide support in SAP with asset additions/disposals/write-downs and tracking of assets under construction.
  • Assist with preparing, reviewing, and uploading T&E related journal entries into SAP.
  • Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned, to support the Accounting and Finance team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Public Accounting and/or private company accounting.
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP and accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.).
  • Professional certification preferred (e.g., CPA).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system and Tableau is preferred

 

Salary and Benefits: 

  • $90,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on experience
