Overview

FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, Inc (FCDI) is recruiting for a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner to support our continued growth. In this visible and impactful role, you will work across the company, partnering and providing human resource expertise to internal customers. We’re seeking a candidate with experience in all areas of Human Resources who has special interests in compensation, HR analytics, and employee engagement. This role will be responsible for the management and delivery of core people and capability programs, including talent and performance management, compensation, employee engagement and retention, and workforce planning as assigned. Your intellectual curiosity, creativity, and use of data will enable you to deliver insights, and solutions to enhance overall organizational capability and performance.

We partner with innovators from around the world to combine biologically relevant human cells with the newest technologies to drive advancements in medicine and healthier living.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with managers proactively to optimize employee capabilities and deliver against business objective and priorities. Participate in regular meetings with respective client groups.
  • Strengthen overall organizational capabilities working with managers and leaders on organizational assessment, organizational structure, workforce planning and change management.
  • Coach managers and employees on development, employee relations, and reward issues.
  • Serve as local compensation expert. Advise and counsel on compensation recommendations for internal moves following the performance management process.
  • Maintain, and support HR information system records, analyzing, and communicating data to provide key insights and guide effective decision-making.
  • Champion a positive and productive company culture, model Company standards, and deliver exceptional employee experience.
  • Drive engagement initiatives.
  • Support and participate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs and initiatives.
  • Partner with managers to determine staffing needs and analyze staffing and retention strategy. Work with management to develop and implement retention strategies.
  • Manage and support employee recognition programs.
  • Assist in managing employee relations by investigating and resolving employee issues and concerns.
  • Identify training and development needs for business and individual employees.
  • Act as an Administrator in the Learning Management System.
  • Support the development of and drives the Talent Management agenda as assigned.
  • Assist in facilitating performance management tools and processes including goal setting, feedback, coaching, and employee development
  • Take a lead role in organizational development and/or restructuring activities to ensure fair and consistent decision making.
  • Act as a primary point of contact with FujiFilm Centers of Excellence on program delivery issues and customizations for the business they support.
  • Share local intelligence and provide a field perspective on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
  • Participate in the roll-out of onboarding, benefit, and wellness initiatives.
  • Participate in talent acquisition process.
  • Have awareness of HR trends.
  • Maintain local HR policies.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment law.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the local labor market and regulatory environment.
  • Ensure job descriptions are updated and maintained.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in biotechnology industry highly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience working in Human Resources.
  • HR experience in compensation, talent acquisition, performance management, HR analytics, employee engagement, employment law, and benefits.   
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (ADP preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with public speaking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism with all levels of staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Hybrid role; ability to work on-site 3 days/week.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) and training experience preferred.
