Overview

We are hiring a Vice President of Service.  This position reports to the Vice President & General Manager – Imaging Solutions Manufacturing & Service. The Vice President, Service is responsible for all aspects of running the Service business.

The Service business within Imaging is an important business for FNAC, with a budgeted top line of approximately $50M, and an expectation to be profitable despite a difficult operating environment. Imaging Service is a complex business that employs a mix of Fujifilm employees and outside vendors to provide Helpdesk support, parts management and shipping, bench repair, advanced exchange, and on-site equipment repairs for our customer base. Service personnel, both employees and vendor staff, are spread throughout the United States, including many personnel working from remotely and others working from locations in Edison, NJ, Irving, TX, and Rochester, NY.

The Vice President – Service is responsible for strategic planning and tactical execution for the business, including, during FY24, leading the transition of the business from a dedicated vendor model to a multi-vendor “per incident” business model.

FUJIFILM North America Corporation, a marketing subsidiary of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, consists of six operating divisions. The Imaging Division provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services, including silver halide consumables; inkjet consumables; digital printing equipment, along with service and support; personalized photo products fulfillment; film; one-time-use cameras; and the popular INSTAX® line of instant cameras, smartphone printers, instant film, and accessoriesThe Electronic Imaging Division markets its GFX System and X Series lines of mirrorless digital cameras, lenses, and accessories to provide a variety of content creation solutions for both still and moving imagery. The Optical Devices Division provides optical lenses for the broadcast, cinematography, closed circuit television, videography, and industrial markets, and also markets binoculars and other optical imaging solutions. The Graphic Communication Division utilizes its extensive industry knowledge to develop fully supported traditional and digital print solutions for industries including commercial print, wide format, and packaging with its comprehensive line of digital inkjet presses, production toner printers, and software. The Industrial Products Division delivers new products derived from Fujifilm technologies including data storage tape products, including OEM and FUJIFILM Ultrium LTO cartridges, desalination solutions, microfilters and gas separation membranes. The Non-Destructive Testing Division delivers radiography solutions to ensure high accuracy inspection of transportation infrastructure, and assets within aerospace, and oil and gas industries.

Responsibilities

 

Leadership & Employee Relations

  • Communicates the vision and key strategies for the business and how it impacts all the roles inside the operation.
  • Develops and delegates measurable goals and objectives to be attained by the team.
  • Reviews organizational structure and vendor performance in order to identify and implement changes that will drive efficiency.

 

Budget and Expense Management

  • Works with the VP& GM, and finance, to create and regularly update budgets for the overall business and for key vendors.
  • Develops and drives performance against the annual expense budget, including tracking and reporting against agreed upon KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).

 

Operations

  • Monitors customer SLA’s with a keen eye on the largest customer, Walmart.
  • Leverages international staff and product specialists to monitor and review performance on Fujifilm equipment, including the Kiosks, Wide Format Printers, DL series printer, DX series printers, the CX printers and other supporting equipment.
    • Ensure learnings are reviewed and utilized to improve machine performance and service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure learnings are shared with the Product Management team to influence the development of next generation products.
  • Oversees inventory management in collaboration with SCM, to minimize inventory on hand and inventory write-offs, while maintaining adequate stock to support break fix and bench repairs.
  • Leads team in overseeing Service specific IT needs, including ASTEA and FSR support and development.
  • Leads development of pro-forma Income Statement projections for key projects and customers.
  • Works with Product Management team overseeing Equipment & Consumables to provide input on future product development.

 

Organizational Change

  • Leads development and implementation of a comprehensive project plan for changing the structure of the Service Business from a “fixed cost” model to a “per incident” model.
    • Develop and monitor against a detailed pro-forma of the new business.
    • Identify, vet, negotiate with, and ultimately on-board multiple vendors capable of providing high quality break/fix and installation services to the Fujifilm equipment base.
    • Manage the transition from the current model to the new model while maintaining excellent customer service to our customer base.

 

Required Skills/Education

 

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, or related field to area of responsibility, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in senior level positions in a Service business or comparable operation.
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, set priorities, organize, and coordinate work with others.
  • Strong Analytical, teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience presenting to senior management.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Salary and Benefits: (Include for roles that are/can be based in NY and CO)
