Job Purpose: The MI Buyer plays a crucial role in the HCUS organization’s procurement process as the point of contact for purchasing products on behalf of the company for either resale or for internal use in the company’s operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fulfills direct and indirect material requirements for assigned supplier base of products and services on time and in accordance with material planning and purchasing procedures.
  • Adheres to creating and sending Purchase Orders per SLAs.
  • Updates Salesforce.com Procurement section daily.
  • Uploads Vendor Order Acknowledgements, Packing Lists, and Invoices into SF.com.
  • Meets regularly with Order Fulfillment Specialist partner.
  • Peer review and release (L1) of all Purchase Orders.
  • Daily review of all SF.com reports.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers on new and existing materials.
  • Manages, implements, and maintains professional business relationships with HCUS vendors that enhance purchasing services.
  • Manages and reports the performance of existing suppliers in accordance with supplier management procedure.
  • Effective and timely communication with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Submits Vendor invoices per MI Revenue Recognition rules.
  • Supports HLUS Accounts Payable with open Vendor invoice resolution.
  • Supports MI Operations through Product Portfolio knowledge.
  • Submits timely reports as requested by Manager or vendors.
  • Keeps current on all business activities (product, pricing, mergers, buyouts, etc.) for assigned supplier base.
  • Works closely with Product Managers to keep SF Vendor pages updated as needed.
  • Participates in assigned projects as a team player or project leader.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications:


Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Procurement and Strategic Sourcing.
  • Leadership experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement.
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com is highly preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Special Skills or Other Job Requirements:

  • Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Successful use of decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong preference for experience with third party contracts.
  • Adherence to HCUS's corporate values.

Physical Requirements:


The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities:

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

Travel:

  • Occasional (up to 25%) travel may be required based on business need.

Salary Range:

  • Minimum 57,000.00
  • Maximum $69,000.00
