We’re searching for a senior level financial professional with project management capabilities to drive key initiatives within the finance organization.  Reporting to the CFO and regularly interacting with other finance leaders and company executives, the incumbent will provide independent judgement to enhance finance leadership effectiveness and to drive finance strategy and performance. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment, with a special focus on executive-level advising and ensuring strong intradepartmental collaboration.  

 

Responsibilities

  • CFO business partnering including preparing the CFO for meetings, projects, presentations and internal/external communications
  • Act as a “sparring partner” and trusted advisor to CFO and other members of the finance leadership team
  • Facilitate finance leadership team meetings
  • Help CFO in driving finance strategy including working closely on finance improvement activities.
  • Engage with CFO direct reports and communicate critical deliverables on behalf of CFO
  • Support finance leadership team on key initiatives
  • Coordinate, monitor, and interpret finance data from across the organization and ensure CFO is appropriately briefed
  • Direct and manage ad hoc finance projects, from initiation through to successful delivery
  • Demonstrate high level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive matters while exercising sound judgement, discretion, and confidentiality
  • In addition to the above key responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the CFO may reasonably require

Required skills and qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration, finance, accounting, or similar field
  • 8+ years of experience working in finance, accounting, audit, or similar industry
  • High energy, high intellectual flexibility, willingness to tackle ambiguous/un-formed challenges, willingness to drive accountability
  • Excellent academic and job performance history
  • Experience in planning and supporting strategic initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity
  • Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience delivering on time sensitive tasks

 

Preferred skills and qualifications

 

  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Professional services consulting or public accounting experience at a top tier firm preferred
  • Excellent excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally (2-4x per year)
  • Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions
  • Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications
  • This position is an onsite based role (with up to 1 day/week remote work)

 

FDBU works with technical data, technology and materials that are subject to U.S. export laws and regulations. This position will require access to technical data, technology and source code that is controlled under U.S. export laws and regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at 22 C.F.R.
