    FUJIFILM North America Corporation is a marketing subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation in Tokyo, Japan that provides equipment, consumables and technical support to the graphic arts industry; digital photo processing equipment, technical support and fulfillment services for commercial and consumer customers; consumer digital cameras, and motion picture films. The company is comprised of five operating divisions: Photo Imaging Products; Graphic Systems Products; Electronic Imaging Products; Motion Picture Film Products; and Optical Devices.


    We are hiring for a Director of Marketing for our Valhalla, NY location.  As the Director of Marketing you will report to the General Manager and be responsible for developing the marketing plan, and leading the marketing team in the execution. Well-rounded capability to be able to understand not only Marketing, but have good understanding of overall business including Sales, Profitability and Inventory is key.  The position is critical to the EID as it is the driving force of revenue generation:



    • The Director of Marketing will require in-depth understanding of the product P&L in order to analyze the overall EID business, give suggestions to headquarters for future product development, and propose long-term business strategy.
    • The Director of Marketing leads the execution and continuous improvement of all the marketing processes, including:

                 - Pricing Packaging, Dealer Programs & Promotions, Advertising, Dealer & End user

                 - Communication, Photographer Support and Product Availability

    • The marketing team must continually train and develop and support FNAC Sales in selling EID products.
    • The marketing team supports current accounts in the promotion of existing products and the addition of new products to their product offerings.


    Reporting to the Director of Marketing are 3 direct reports plus their teams (approximately 5  employees).  The Director of Marketing will reinforce Fujifilm’s leadership values by transforming EID  area into a customer focused, proactive operation that will help drive Fujifilm’s business.

    Some of the responsibilities are, but not limited to:


    • Maintain responsibility for cradle to grave management of the product including the overall

               product P&L

    • Provide strategic and tactical direction to sales force across all products in packaging, pricing,

               promotion and advertising

    • Provide market analysis and suggestions to headquarters for future product development and

               long-term business strategy

    • Develop annual marketing and execution plans to aid Product Management focus on specific

               products or customers and also leverage the sales force to achieve our divisional objectives


    -  GFX, X Series, FinePix and Accessories – Annual plan including pricing programs, packaging, target distribution, promotions, advertising, communication to sales, programs for key retailers as well as consumer promotions, service and programs


    • Maintain leadership position with sales force by consistently communicating programs and information that can influence sales and provides not just pricing information but presentation tools, promotions and the sound-bites and messages necessary to create sales success
    • Provide competitive analysis and selling points to marketing and to sales
    • Develop account specific P&L and selling plans for our largest accounts
    • Work with headquarters, sales and supply chain to establish correct inventories and ensure proper allocation of short supply products



    Within 6-9 Months:

    Understands Fujifilm EID business situation, lead the marketing team, support sales force effectively and contribute to the growth of the FNAC EID business.


    Within 9-18 Months:

    Manage the P&L, understand the business situation, provide ideas and feedback to HQ for future business development and long-term Marketing strategy.


    Required skills:


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. MBA preferred.
    • Must have at least 5 years experience in Digital Cameras; work experience should be greater than 7 years.
    • Budget Creation and Management
    • Marketing Plan Development
    • Relevant and recent Sales negotiation skills
    • Good Microsoft office and presentations skills.
    • Ability to manipulate business systems data.

    • The ability to develop and coach the team
